General information
This Policy is informational in nature and implements the obligations arising from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) and from the provisions of the Polish Act on the provision of services by electronic means.
The deomed.pl website is informational and promotional in nature - it presents the range of specialist preventive and therapeutic DEOMED® socks, which are medical devices, provides education on foot health prevention and makes it easier to contact the manufacturer.
The Controller takes particular care to respect the privacy of Users and ensures that the data collected is processed lawfully, fairly, for strictly defined purposes and protected against unauthorised access.
In matters relating to the protection of personal data and the exercise of rights under the GDPR, the Controller can be contacted: by post at the address of its registered office, by e-mail at info@jjw.pl or kontakt@deomed.pl, or by telephone on +48 22 711 71 58.
The Controller has not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) - all requests are handled directly by the Controller.
The Controller does not intentionally collect health data through the standard functions of the Website.
Where a User voluntarily includes information about their state of health in the contact form in order to obtain advice on the choice of a sock model, the User is deemed to have given explicit consent to the processing of that data (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR).
Such data is used solely to handle the substance of the enquiry; it is not used for marketing profiling and is not passed to third parties without the User's express instruction.
The DEOMED® brand products presented on the Website are medical devices within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council (MDR) and the Polish Act of 7 April 2022 on medical devices.
Because tools provided by global technology partners are used (e.g. Google LLC, Meta Platforms Inc.), Users' data may be transferred to third countries, in particular to the USA.
Data transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the European Commission's implementing decision of 10 July 2023 under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
To exercise their rights, the User may contact the Controller at: info@jjw.pl.
The User also has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority - in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).
Profiling consists, among other things, in analysing behaviour on the Website (the sock categories viewed, time spent on the page) in order to tailor communication more effectively.
Profiling within the Website does not produce any legal effects concerning the User and does not similarly significantly affect them.
While the Website is being used, the servers automatically record server logs (e.g. the public IP address of the device, the date and time of the request, the referring URL, the type and version of the browser). This data is used solely to administer the server and is not combined with specific personal data.
